Our approach: how we choose breweries

We don’t select beer by name alone. What matters most is flavour, batch consistency, and how the beer performs on tap. If we serve something bold, it should be bold for the right reasons – not just extreme for attention.

1) Freshness & rotation Especially for IPA/APA styles, freshness is essential. We rotate taps to keep beer at its best.
2) Style diversity Lagers, IPA, sour, stout – there should always be something familiar and something to discover.
3) Clean brewing & pouring Balanced body, good aroma, no off-flavours. Quality over gimmicks.
4) Pub culture without pretence Opapa is a pub. We take beer seriously, but the atmosphere should stay relaxed and human.

This list grows over time as new beers appear on our taps. Some breweries return regularly, others brought unique beers available only for a short time.

Why don’t you keep the exact same beers on tap all the time?

Because craft beer is best when it stays fresh and exciting. Rotation helps us keep quality high and lets you choose by mood: lager / IPA / sour / stout.

I want to taste new beers “without risk”. Where should I start?

Start with a lager or a lighter ale, then move to an IPA (aroma and hops), and finish with a sour or a stout if you feel like it.

Do you also serve international breweries?

Yes, sometimes. But the core focus is Slovakia and the Czech Republic – regional breweries that make sense on tap and fit a proper pub.
